Purchase & Refund Policy — Duelsmith
Last updated: 26 October 2026 (version 4 — clans; effective 26 October 2026; version 3 — pack tiers — took effect 16 October 2026; version 2 took effect 7 September 2026). This policy forms part of the Terms of Service and applies whenever the store is open. Operator's fiscal entity: Mexico.
1. What the store sells
The store sells time, identity and progress — never outcomes:
- Time — timed stamina boosters (regeneration up to 1.5×, never more).
- Identity — cosmetics: skins, fight backgrounds, frames, name colours, victory cards, a patron badge, and voluntary tips.
- Progress — Battle Points (BP), the same currency every player earns by playing, subject to a weekly purchase cap of 1,400 BP (roughly what a dedicated player earns by playing in a week).
- Account — extra champion slots and quality-of-life unlocks.
Never sold, alone or bundled: specific items, catalysts, levels or XP, rating, rank or ladder position, season rewards, relics, cantos, titles or medals. Some cosmetics — the homeland backgrounds tied to your lineage — are earned only and are never sold. Those things are earned by playing: money can buy time, never the outcome.
1a. Randomised packs and published odds
BP (earned or purchased) can open packs with randomised contents. Packs may come in tiers with different BP prices and different odds. Randomised packs are priced in BP only — no randomised pack is sold for money, and the odds never change based on whether your BP was earned or purchased. The drop probabilities of every pack are published, versioned and dated on our odds page (app.duelsmith.com/pack/odds), linked from every buy surface, and are identical for everyone who opens that pack. There are no hidden modifiers or pity timers. A change to the price or odds of a pack shown on the odds page is shown there before it takes effect, and takes effect no sooner than 60 minutes after it is first shown. The material pack states exactly what it contains, including the small chance of a catalyst. Store bundles of cosmetics and boosters have fixed, listed contents and are not randomised packs.
1b. Founding a clan
Founding a clan costs 800 BP. That is a BP spend inside the game, not a purchase: it is not refunded if the clan is disbanded, if you leave it, or if you are removed from it. A clan never grants BP, items or any gameplay effect to its members; it is a name, a banner and a count of wins.
2. What you get
A purchase grants a personal, non-transferable licence to a digital entitlement inside the Game. Entitlements are not property or currency, can't be transferred between accounts, and can't be redeemed for money. Timed entitlements expire on schedule by design. BP bought is spent like BP earned — on packs, supplies, the forge and reallocating points — and cannot be withdrawn, traded or converted back.
3. Prices, taxes, payment, the weekly cap
- Prices are shown at checkout in the listed currency. Applicable taxes (IVA/VAT) are shown or included at checkout.
- Payment is processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.
- Country availability: purchases may be enabled only in certain countries at first.
- Weekly BP cap. BP purchases are limited to 1,400 BP per rolling 7-day window per account. At the cap, checkout is unavailable until the window frees capacity (the store shows when). In the rare case a payment completes when your cap is already reached, we do not deliver and refund the payment in full, automatically, and notify you in-game.
4. Delivery
Immediate and automatic. Your entitlement is granted the moment payment completes; it appears in your account within seconds, with an in-game notification. If it doesn't, see clause 6. Stripe emails you a receipt; when our own confirmation email is live, you receive that too.
5. Refunds and the right of withdrawal
- Because delivery is immediate and the entitlement is consumed or usable at once, purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered, except where the consumer law of your country provides otherwise.
- EU/EEA consumers: by completing a purchase you expressly request immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you thereby lose your 14-day right of withdrawal.
- Over-cap payments are refunded in full, automatically (clause 3) — no request needed.
- Our mistake (you paid and received nothing, or the wrong thing): we restore or refund, every time. Every purchase leaves a verifiable trail on both sides.
- Retired entitlements: if we ever retire something you paid for, we refund it or replace it with something of equal value.
6. If something goes wrong
Write to admin@duelsmith.com with the purchase date and the email you used. We check the record against Stripe's and answer within a few days; a purchase that never reached your account is restored or refunded.
7. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of writing to us, the goods from that purchase are revoked and buying is blocked on your account while the dispute runs. You keep playing — we block buying, not access. If the dispute is decided in your favour, exactly what was taken is restored and buying is unblocked; if it is decided against you, the goods stay revoked. Writing to us first is faster for everyone.
8. Minors
You must be an adult in your jurisdiction — or have a parent's or guardian's permission — to purchase. Because purchased BP can open randomised packs, we ask parents and guardians to treat purchase permission with the same care as any game with randomised paid content. Odds are public (clause 1a) so anyone can evaluate exactly what a pack can contain.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; changes are announced before they take effect and the date at the top changes. A change never applies to a purchase already made.
